The Sandman's helm

This is a digital 3D printable model of Dream's Helm from the Netflix series the Sandman.
The download contains pieces of the model ready to be 3D printed on a 200 mm print bed and files that are not cut into smaller pieces.
The helmet is fully wearable, we recommend scaling the model according to your head measurements. It is good to make it bigger and then add cushioning to the inside for a comfortable fit.
All cut parts are placed on the print bed as we would print them to save you time.

SIZE
At 100% scale the model’s dimensions are approximately:

• Width 230 mm
• Length 392 mm
• Height 737 mm

You can scale the model as you wish, but we can’t guarantee that the model will print well at a much smaller size.

3D PRINTING SETTINGS
We use these settings for most of our prints:
- Layer height 0.2 mm
- Infill 15%
- Supports 45°
We use a 10 mm brim for tall parts with a small base for better bed adhesion.
We try to make the models in a way that uses as little support material as possible.
Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer.

🛠️ Assembly Instructions

The helmet pieces feature hexagonal slots. Use our hex pegs (included in the download) to connect the pieces.

UPDATES:
V 1: Static full-detail helmet.
V 2: Rough leather/fabric texture for SLA
V 3: Movable bones - use a rubber cord to connect the vertebrae 01-07, make a knot, and hide it by gluing the smallest vertebrae 08 and 09.

This model is meant to be post-processed after printing. This can be gluing, sanding, painting, etc. We advise adding cushioning to the inside for a comfortable fit.
The Helmet of Dreams is a mask-like helm owned by Lord Morpheus. It serves as one of Sandman’s three symbols of power along with the sand pouch and the Dreamstone ruby. The helm serves as his sigil.
