Sandworm Pencil Sharpener - Dune

This model is inspired by the 2021 movie Dune. This digital 3D printable model is a casing for a pencil Sharpener. Use a hot glue gun or super glue to attach the pencil sharpener. Don’t glue the sandworm to the dune as you would not be able to empty it.

The download contains pieces of the model ready to be 3D printed on a 200 mm print bed. All parts are placed on the print bed as we would print them to save you time.

📏 3D Model Dimensions

To make it fit your pencil sharpener you can change the size of the height adjuster file. Measure the distance from the bottom of your pencil sharpener to the centre of the hole and make it lower by 1 mm for each mm over 5 mm or make it 1 mm higher for each mm lower than 5 mm.

The total dimensions of this model are approx.:

Width: 6 mm
Length: 105 mm
Height: 45 mm
You can scale the model as you wish.

🖨️ 3D Printing Settings

The model prints without supports. The one in the pictures was printed without them and most printers should be able to bridge the gap inside.

The sand was printed with Fillamentum Mukha PLA

We use these settings for most of our prints:
Layer height 0.2 mm
Infill 15%
Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer.

If you want to put more effort into it to make it look more realistic you can post-process the print so it has a painted finish.
